Approval of the import and/or use of the LMO(s) with conditions
1. The regulated article shall be imported solely and exclusively for direct use as food and feed, or for processing and not for field trial or commercial propagation;
2. The Technology Developer shall conduct awareness seminars or trainings for importers, and handlers of GM crops regarding management or mitigation of the unintended release of the GM commodity shipment during loading, transport, and storage;
3. BPI Biotech personnel, Plant Quarantine Officer and/or his/her duly authorized representatives shall be allowed to access the facility where the regulated article is located and to records related to importation of the regulated article;
4. In case of accidental release of soybean GMB151, such as road spill during transport, BASF Philippines Inc. shall assist the importers in the management of GM commodities; and
5. If new information on the regulated article and its effects on human health and the environment becomes available, and such information is relevant and significant, the risk assessment shall be readdressed to determine whether the risk has changed or whether there is a need to amend the risk management strategies accordingly.
